Hi everyone. The Cowlitz is finally putting out some fair numbers of Spring Chinook. It’s time to fish! I have three Saturdays and a few week days to fill this month. The first of June we will be on the Skykomish River, fishing Summer King and Summer Steelhead combo. Spring Chinook season is short so don”t wait!
A quick heads up everyone. Some late winter Steelhead are showing in the Cowlitz river. I have March 17-18-20-21-25 28-31 left to fill, also a few days in April. Hope to here from everyone, also Springers right around the corner. Should be running strong by mid April. Thanks and Fish On!
Here is a beautiful Cowlitz River Spring Chinook. This is one of the lucky fisherman this season. The Spring Chinook returns are very low this year, you had to work hard for very few fish.
We are looking forward to are next fishery, Summer Chinook and Summer Steelhead combo, on the Skykomish River the first half of June and the Columbia River the second half of June. These should be very good fisheries this year, the projection are good for both.
It’s time to get your days booked for the March and April Cowlitz River hatchery Steelhead run. We should have great fishing by the first week of March. Last year this Steelhead run went through April.
Right now I’m fishing the Chehalis River for a mix of hatchery and wild fish, like the one in the photo from last weekend. We’re catching 4 to 10 fish a day ranging from 8 to16 pounds, it’s going great! This fishery should last through March. Dont miss out, Fish On!
Hope everyone is doing well. I have some great news, we have Winter Chinook in the North Fork of the Lewis River. This run starts now and goes through the first week of Dec. The great thing is we can keep wild and hatchery Chinook with a 2 fish limit.
Also the Cowlitz River should have a great early return of winter Steelhead. The plant was 647,000 and should start the last week of Nov and run thru Dec or longer. With all this great news, I hope to hear from you soon. FISH ON!!!
Ok guys, the fall Chinook are here. This is Pat last Monday (8/27/12) with a 30 plus pound Chinook. We landed some beautiful Chinook and Steelhead that day. I have 4 days left to fill in September, so get your days booked quickly! I hope everyone is well, also the new boat is killing fish. Hope to see everyone soon, Fish On!
I am catching good numbers of Summer Steelhead and releasing lots of Summer Chinook. The Columbia river opens Saturday the 16th for Summer Chinook. I am going to target both Steelhead and Chinook for the next two weeks and then Summer Steelhead through August. This is an awesome fishery. 
Some of these Chinook can reach 30 to 40 plus pounds. We also are landing a few Sockeye Salmon along with the Steelhead. Here are photos from the last two days of fishing. Hope to hear from you soon. Don’t miss out, lets go fishing, Fish On!
Great News! The Spring Chinook are here! The projections for the Cowlitz River is 8700 Spring Chinook Salmon, that’s the largest return in many years. These Salmon are the cream of the crop. Time to go! Give us call and get your days booked, lets go have a great day Springer fishing! Fish On!
Hey everyone its time to start fishing for the February-March B run Steelhead in the Cowlitz River. These two photos are the fish we caught last Saturday afternoon (2-11-2012). From what I am seeing its going to a great season. These fish should run from now thru mid April, with good size. The ocean conditions are good, and when we see fish this early it means good numbers of fish to come. 
I have a few days left in February and a lot days in March to fill. Lets get your days booked. Its going to be a great late winter Steelhead fishing season. Fish On!
