Fall King Salmon and Silver Salmon Fishing on the Cowlitz River

Fall King Salmon and Silver Salmon fishing season is everyone’s favorite time of year. King Salmon start showing in the Cowlitz River the last week of August and run thru the first week of October. Silver Salmon, also called Coho Salmon, will normally start showing in the Cowlitz River by the middle of September and run thru the first of November.

The Kings range from 12 – 40 plus pounds and the Silvers range from 7- 20 pounds. This is a great time of year to bring the family or all your buddies, Limits are very common this time of year, and the weather is great. So bring the gang and let’s go catch some monster King and Silver Salmon.
